My Passion for Plum

2013's color of the year is emerald green. While keeping up with current fashion trends is a great way to spice up any wardrobe, it’s important to have our own voice in fashion. One of my favorite colors is plum. There's something indescribably beautiful about plum and if you notice it’s "trendy" once in a while. I wanted to share how I incorporate plum in my make-up regimen.




                                            
Iman's African Violet is simply gorgeous. When I'm ready for a date or night out on the town this is my go to color its the deepest purple I've come across.
 


Opi's tease-y does it plum rich color that's has a hint of sparkle. If I'm not mistaken this launched when Cher and Christina Aguilera stared in Burlesque. I think this was a part of the line in honor of the movie.



                                                    


For fewer than 2 bucks this is possibly the richest nail polish. It’s super thick and rich in color. After  my 10 minute manicure I apply two coats of this and it last for nearly a week without in between application. I'm not mistaken Lauren Conrad is a fan of this color as well.

                                                                   


Add plum glitz with Milani's Fuchsia jeweled nail polish. I found this at CVS and feel in love.

I also enjoy plum lipstick. Revlon came out with a really pretty plum lipstick a few years back. I couldn’t find a pic of the one I used. I hope you guys enjoyed my plum passion. What's your staple color?

Meta Gala Awards 2013

The stars were out and about last night in attendance of the 2013 Meta Gala Awards. The red carpet became a fashion runway of the hottest female celebrities. With so many choice and fashion Diva's I don't know were to start. Lets take a look at some of these beautiful gown and a few of the ones that least stood out.

         
Beyonce always looks good but  I'm not a fan off this number on her. The fit is too tight and she went overboard with the print. Basically, I think she looks contrived.  As opposed to Sarah Jessica Parker who's ensemble really looked a piece of art but in an effortless way. I loved her giant mohawk head piece.

  
Madonna, I couldn't believe it was her. I think this is a great look for Halloween for a younger person. This was another looked I really didn't like. While Cameron Diaz looked regal in her blue gown with swiped back hair and a belt. You an wear this one and off the carpet.


 
Jessica Biel did something different and rocked a fake septum nose ring to keep up with this years rocker them. Gotta give it up to her because I have a nose ring also!! While Ms. Anne Hathaway practically took stole the entire event with her short platnium blond cute. Ms. Hathaway honey you better wrek!!!

  
Kelly Osbourne is another female celebrity who is fashion forward and always does her own thing on the red carpet. I love her black Marc Jacobs dress. While of course the ever fashionably fabulousity of Ms. Jennifer Lopez just oozed over the red carpet. Mama was smoking in her leopard print number and up do. She had the beautiful coppery golden skin that's become her signature.


 
Twilight's Ashley Green wore a beautiful black gown embroidered with golden floral prints while designer Diane Von  Furstenberg gave us a bit of show girl glam.


Sienna Miller looked great with her punk rock themed look. Her hair was brushed to the side along with a simple braid in the front. The gown was a beautiful simple white silhouette with a plugging v-neck cut. I think she looked amazing.


Solange Knowles is very stylish in her own right and deserves more recognition than she's recieving. I really like this cut out and the print with the Afro and earrings. I give her an A plus and one of the best dress on the carpet. There's something about this that translates to an evening out on the town on a summer night.

Singer Beyonce Knowles will be on the cover of Shape magazine April 2013. The new mother talks about her her 57 pound weight gain during her pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy Carter and reveals how she got her pre- baby body back.“I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!” she laughed. Beyoncé says a healthy diet and dance workouts helped her reclaim her pre-baby body.” Read more here.

 If you watched the 2013 inaguration of President Obama you might have spotted music diva Beyonce Knowles wearing a pair of beautiful emerald green earrings. The fashion icon and trend setter was ultra glamours in a black seqin gown with swirling patterns.


The singer steped up her fashion game for this historical event! She gave us a fierce side part, a beautiful black dress and was a head of the 2013 green fashion trend with emerald earrings.
