It's that time of year again: Award Season! As I did last year, I'll be predicting, using very scientific prediction algorithms obviously, the outcome of some of the biggest award shows.

This is just an exercise in fun to involve myself in the razzamatazz of these big parties as I'm a bit of a film fan. I hope you will indulge me in this.

Award Season Prophecies: Screen Actors Guild Awards 2013

Another weekend, another award show! This time, the Screen Actors Guild Awards. While the SAG awards are relatively new to the Award Season calendar (it's only the 19th year), it is, I think, important to the Award Season because the awards are voted for by members of the Guild itself. That's to say, the actors themselves are voting for which actor they think has done the best job.

Again, I haven't seen all the films up for awards, but I've seen the trailers and heard the buzz so I'm going for an educated guess. I'm not guessing the TV awards because I don't watch enough telly to really be able to make a decent guess. But just so you know, I want Glee to win Best TV ensemble in a Comedy Series ;).

Award Season Prophecies: The Golden Globes

As it is Award Season, and I am a little bit of a film buff, I am going to give you my predictions for the upcoming big award shows. And tonight is one of the big ones: the Golden Globes!

Now, to be fair, I haven't seen all the films up for awards, but I've seen the trailers and heard the buzz so I'm going for an educated guess.

There are many reasons why I chose what I did. Some of them were just stabs in the dark, particularly in categories where I haven't seen any of the nominated films but with Hollywood, you can make good guesses which film is going to win *coughLincolncoughLesMiscough*. And in the cases where I've highlighted more than one film which I want to win, that means I liked those films enough to want them to win.

Anyway, those are my predictions. We'll find out tonight how well I did... (Results are now in and compared over here!)
