Best Fashion Selections for Zombieification

Hubs and daughter are on a "The Walking Dead" bender... Freaking marathon yesterday night. Marathoning it out today. I can't stomach the show, man... it's just a bit too gory for me. I've never been into the scary stuff. I'm just a wuss at heart. Law & Order is pretty much as "scary" as I go.

So we were talking about what would be the awesomest ensemble to get "Zombiefied" in. My first thought.... BAM!! BANANA COSTUME!!
and THANK YOU INTERNET!! Someone already did it, and has a photo of it. How amaze.

2nd... ZOMBIE HIPPIE. Just walk into Ann Arbor and you'll probably find someone dressed like this, Zombie that dude. He's so asking for it.

Number 3... ZOMBIE FAIRY. I mean, it's got to be awesome to have wings and a tutu... BUT WAIT,  COULD IT FLY!!?? H says it would "limp flutter", that may be very very dangerous.

Great, now I'm going to have nightmares about Zombie Fairies squiggle-flying after me.

                                                            Actress Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel is bikini ready year round!

It's that time of the year where most of us are hitting the gym. Here are few tops that I use to go for a quick stroll. But if you already tone I think the Seventies Sport bikini will do.  For some of us who may need a little motivation on the perfect tone body, have you notice actress Jessica Biel? She's one of the fitness female celebrities I've seen. This woman is bikini ready year round. Ms. Biel certainly has discipline. So I found out exactly what is Jessica's Biel work out routine. I discovered that Jessica Biel enjoys not only very intense work out routines but she's also a huge fan of yoga. The star has said "Yoga is a constant for me because it keeps my muscles long and flexible" read more.

If its still a bit chilly in your neck of the words and you enjoy taking a quick stroll this is for you. Jessica Biel leads the pack when I say "beauty is a lifestyle."

Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten Books I Recommend the Most

It's that time of the week for Top Ten Tuesday, the weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week it is the top ten books I recommend the most.

I feel like these lists might get a little repetitive... ah, who cares.
  • The Fault in our Stars by John Green. Have I conveyed yet how much I love this book?? This is a book that I think lives up to its hype. And I'll recommend it to anyone who talks to me for long enough!
  • The Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. Do you need a reason why I recommend this series to the three people in the world who haven't read it?
  • Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. Even after what I'd heard about this being a surprisingly sweet zombie love story, I was still pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks they don't like zombies, but like supernatural stuff. And to anyone else.
  • The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer. If, despite recent events, I end up working with kids, I will be making sure the school library has a copy of this book. It is perfect for kids. Twists on classic fairytales and a few new characters thrown in. And big kids will love this too.
  • The Life of Pi by Yann Martell. This is a book I'd recommend to people who like philosophical or spiritual books. It doesn't preach but instead makes you challenge your own perceptions. And there is also a tiger involved.
  • Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I recommend for anyone who loves a swoon-worthy YA romance set in Paris. Always makes me want to go to Paris when I think about this book.
  • The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Still the cream of the crop when it comes to YA dystopian fiction, in my humble opinion.
  • Watching the English by Kate Fox. This book is like seeing my own quirks laid out before me. If you're British, you should read this book because it is one of those books that make you go "Omg, I so do that! That is so true!" If you're not British, you should read it because it will explain why the Brits act like they do. It's one of those popular science-type books, that you can just pick up, open anywhere and read. I love this book.
  • Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. I would recommend this to anyone who like The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. Quite a similar set-up but set in the time of the Pharoahs. Fascinating.
  • Finding Himself by Minisinoo. Ok, so this isn't technically a book, but a Harry Potter fanfiction, but I constantly recommend this to anyone who wants really well-written fanfiction. It could be a book! Seriously, one of the best, if not THE best fanfiction I've ever read (which is a lot). (Cedric/Hermione, AU Cedric survives GoF. E-book download here.)

Spring Fash in the Village *Full Coverage/Photos*

Yesterday was the **Spring Fashion in the Village of Rochester Hills** Runway Show! So fun. I did not walk in this show, which is good since I was vomiting the night before, so I just went to spectate and see what the stores of that Shopping Area thought was in for Spring. I was pleasantly surprised by some of their picks! Also, the lovely Kathy Thrasher and Erica Mann were walking in the show, so I was able to get some shots of them.

All of these outfits are available at the Village of Rochester Hills (website here)

As I reported before, the spring trends that we are seeing for 2013 are:
  • Color-Blocking
  • Black & White
  • Wedge Heels
  • Bright Saturated Colors
  • Maxi/High-Low Hemlines
  • Ethnic Prints
Also, they had some paper dresses made by this amazing artist, Matthew Richmond, as seen below. I love these. I want one so bad. I would love to wear one for next years Auto Show Gala.

This one was made out of Ann Taylor bags. Which is probably the only way I would ever wear Ann Taylor (ZING!) hahha. Thanks to all the models that recognized me and gave me a good shot, like this beautiful lady above.

Kathy werqing it for Banana Republic, see the bright tangerine shell and love the gold necklace.

Erica in a comfy little athletic dress by MooseJaw.

I loved this. I think it's by Buckle. The tutu over the jeans with the shrunken jacket, so cute.

This I really liked too, which i was surprised at myself for. The high-low dress in an ethnic print, with an ACID WASHED DENIM VEST!

Love the combo of the red and turquoise

Another one of Matthew Richmond's paper dresses.

By Banana Republic. Love the mint shift with Denim blazer and the gold necklace. Tres chic.

This ethnic-look tunic is so cute.

Love this beachy dress. I swear I am going to get into a maxi dress this year.

Another paper dress. I love the full skirt.

This blazer is SO ADORBS. I love the stripes on it and the whole outfit is just killing. Loves it.

Yellow and Persimmon? Yes Please.

Love love love love this. Skater skirt in faux leather, love the animal print and cross body with booties. Perfection.

I LOVE this too!! I kinda want to do a polka dot booty short now! with the bow belt!? how cute!?

This has kind of a Valentino Rock Stud look. it's a cute simple dress.

I do not advocate asymmetrical necklines, but this is very springy and adorable.

Oh here's my friend Miss Michigan in her paper dress. Made out of the YELLOW PAGES! so cool.

Missy missy Mich and I after the show. It was sooooo cold, homegirl is a champion.

My paper dress honeys and I. They were such troopers with the weather. I really have to look into getting one of these dresses done!

Old Man Winter Is Back

Happy Monday Everyone!

If you live on the east coast you maybe experience winter weather. I was so excited about spring and more sunny weather. Now it appears old man winter is still here. So what do I like to do when a snow storm comes? Make a cup of hot tea and snuggle up in a warm lounge wear. I think this one will do.
