Best Dressed at the SAG Awards 2014

Ooooooh goodness Gracious. There were some good ones at the SAG Awards.

Amy Adams in Antonio Berardi
I LOVE this sapphire hue against her skin! it's so beautiful. It makes her glow like she'd been forged from marble! The belt was a PERFECT touch, thank god she didn't wear a necklace, not needed with that gorgeous neckline. Her hair-color also pops against the blue gown and her alabaster skin. I just think she looks like a vision.

Claire Danes in Vionnet
Claire's hair-color a bit darker is extraordinary. So lovely. I like the large scale rhombus paillettes, they look like mermaid scales, and the black tulle keeps it from being so sweet, gives it a evil Game of Thrones vibe. Beautiful.

Gretchen Mol in J.Mendel
Love! Ah, the perforated leather top is gorgeous. This dress looks MUCH more beautiful on Gretchen than it does on the runway (below)! It's so pretty and simple and beautiful.

Hannah Simone in Marchesa
Like an angel. This lady is just so beautiful. One of the most lovely famous faces in the world. This dress is ethereal, with a lightness and it looks like she could just ascend into heaven.

 Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen
Kelly, I'm still jealous of your perfectly lavender hair, why didn't mine ever turn out like this!?
This violet-colored Zac Posen gown is so pretty, and ornate, and probably took a thousand years to stitch all those pin-tucks? satin piping? Whatever it is, it is lovely.

Lupita Nyong'o in Gucci
Last night I was sad & crabby that this dress didn't wow me the way that Lupita's dresses had wowed me at the Golden Globes and Critic's Choice Awards. But I have mellowed.
The turquoise is just exquisite on her. She (or her stylist) really know their color wheel, and are adept about choosing the hues that are best on her. This is really art.
The neckline is so pretty, I love the butterfly/flower applique detail. Lupita I love you.

Michelle Dockery in J.Mendel
this lady makes some bold choices that I love (check out what she wore at the SAG Awards Nomination Ceremony!! click here)
This J.Mendel piece is deceptively simple, but very angular, and modern & kinda space-age!
