Ooooooh, let's get in the football spirit. Thankfully, some of the biggest fashion houses in the world referenced the GREAT AMERICAN GAME in their collections recently.
For Alexander McQueen's S/S 2014 presentation, these gorgeous little football helmets were used.
Some may have thought they were a nod to the future, but no, it was Football. This girl could slam headlong into a 6'5" 250 lb guy and not feel a thing. Functional Fashion. I am all about that.
Balmain was even more ahead of the curve, releasing their football fashion in Spring/Summer 2013. These shoulder pads are obviously meant to do some high fashion blocking.
"Bitch, you want the last Chanel Lego bag!? I DON'T THINK SO!" #LegionOfBoom !
Prada in S/S 2014 did a more subtle approach to shouting out their love for the gridiron. They simply put their models in athletic football socks. Which I just think looks spectacular.
Not only do these leg warmers look good, you can select them in several team colors:
Like these shown here, obviously representing:
- The Pittsburgh Steelers
- The Seattle Seahawks
- Throwback Jacksonville Jaguars
So just remember that even though these respective Fashion Houses are English, French & Italian, like all things on Earth, everything is highlighting the imminent global dominance of **'MERICA** fuck yeah. (obviously i'm kidding)
