Any women worth her weight in fashion should at some point either own or at least respect the tweed. We have Coco Chanel to thank for making tweed such a fashionable item. I have often searched the web, pinterest, magazines etc. just gawking at the gorgeous runway statement pieces in tweed, primarily blazers/skirts. I think it's always great to invest in "statement pieces"- the thing that changes your outfit from drab to fab. Tweed blazer are fantastic for this purpose- they look cute with a casual pair of jeans, great for work or in the summer with cute shorts & sky high heels. I have browsed around for a while and have found that tweed contrary to popular belief does also not need to cost an arm and a leg- Boston Proper is a great site for this & generally has some tweed blazers in their outlet for under $80. As for my current faves, J Crew has 2 really cute blazers in their sale section right now- the canary blazer is definitely a statement piece and more of an investment but is also timeless and i'm sure you could wear it for years! The other piece is super cute and would be great for all occasions is certainly at a reasonable price point.
